A Little About Me…
My name is Kari Thevenot and I reside in Central Illinois. For over 13 years, I worked in the employee education department of a large healthcare system. During this time, I was very fortunate to have been exposed to a diverse number of skills. Below you will find out a little more about my strengths and skillset.
Computer/Technology Experience
- Microsoft Office 2003/2007: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Publisher (have been using Office products since 1995)
- Numerous specialized software applications, many times self-taught
- Computer-based learning management systems
- Wordpress
- Internet research
- Development of electronic filing systems
- Typing Speed: 90+ words per minute
Training Certifications
- BLS (CPR) and First Aid Instructor since 2003, through the American Heart Association
- Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+), through CompTIA
Events
- Have assisted in the planning of many events of varying size, ranging from just a few to a few hundred
- Facilitating the event registration process – processing registrations, sending confirmations, preparing participant handouts, compiling participant evaluations, etc
Personal Strengths
- I thrive most when given a project “to run with”.
- Due to the nature of my business, I work very well independently but seek out collaboration when needed.
- I am a “tinkerer” and always have been, which has allowed me to be self-taught in many new applications/skills.
- I’m never afraid to challenge processes in search of a better, more efficient way.
- I take pride in completed work – dissatisfied unless a task is completed with excellence.
- It seems like I’m the one who is always handed the big report to proofread!
