CPR Training in Springfield, Illinois

Your Left Hand currently offers the “BLS for Healthcare Providers” course, which is the required course for registered nurses, physicians, students enrolled in a healthcare field of study, or anyone providing patient care. It can also be taken by anyone in need of an official CPR card.

All CPR classes are held at Memorial Medical Center’s Clinical Simulation Center in Springfield, Illinois. The registration fee is $30, but we offer a $2 discount if you register online.

When demand arises, the “Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED” course is offered. The registration fee for this course is $45.

STEP ONE: Pick a Date & Register

  • Determine your preferred class date below and complete the online registration form by completing the form below.
  • You must fill out this form in order to secure your registration.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers – Monday, August 23 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers – Monday, August 30 from 12:00-3:00 p.m.
  • Heartsaver AED with CPR – Tuesday, August 31 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. *** Note: This course is targeted to lay responders, such as day care workers, office staff, or anyone who is not a healthcare worker but needs a CPR card. This course is not for those who work in a healthcare setting or are students enrolled in a healthcare program.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers – Thursday, September 9 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers – Monday, September 20 from 12:00-3:00 p.m.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers – Wednesday, October 6 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers – Friday, October 22 from 12:00-3:00 p.m.

STEP TWO: Pick a Payment Method

  • Pay with credit or debit card. You may pay the registration fee online by clicking on the payment link below (next to your desired date). There is a $2 discount for paying online ($30 instead of $28).
  • Ready to pay online? Click HERE to go to PayPal. Don’t worry, you don’t need to have a PayPal account in order to use it to make a payment!
  • Pay by personal check. Make check payable to Kari Thevenot.  The mailing address will be sent to you once we have received notification (from your online registration form submission) of your requested registration. Note: Personal checks will not be accepted less than two weeks prior to the course.
  • Pay in person on the day of the course. You may pay the instructor on the day of the course – only cash is accepted for this payment method. Be sure to read the information below pertaining to no shows.
  • Payment of the registration fee prior to the course is not required. However, paying the registration fee prior to the course means your spot is guaranteed in the event of a full course. Students will be notified in advance if this situation arises (no student will be dropped without prior notification)

What happens after registering?

  • If you paid online, you will receive a receipt of payment from PayPal and Your Left Hand will be notified
  • You will receive a reminder email a few days prior to your class with details, as well as right after you fill out the online registration form
  • Loaner books are available and can be sent to you only if there’s at least one week prior to the course and you’ve already paid your registration fee  – books are not sent automatically – if you registered close to the date of the class and would really like a book, please contact us and we’ll let you know how best to get one
  • A note about books – all information will be given to you during the course, so you will not miss anything by not having read a book beforehand.
  • Need to cancel? If you paid already, you must give 48 hours notice in order to receive a refund. No refunds are issued in the event of a no show. If you have not paid already and fail to show up for the course, a re-registration fee will apply if you wish to come to another date.
